I was born and raised in Humboldt county, northern California. Humboldt is known for its spectacular natural beauty, including the giant redwoods and the beautiful coastline. These local landscapes have been a source of inspiration throughout my life, and have filled me with the desire to become an artist.

I started my first quilt project at 15, when my neighbor showed me how to use a sewing machine. I created a few basic patchwork quilts in the following years, but had to set quilting aside while I earned my B.S. in Environmental Science from Humboldt State University. I picked quilting back up again in 2011.

I began showing my quilts locally, and I joined the Redwood Empire Quilter’s Guild. In 2014, I entered my first international quilt show. Since then, my quilts have been displayed all around the United States. I have won some awards at national and international quilt shows, and my work has been included in regional and global traveling exhibitions.

With every new quilt I make, I learn something new. I am always striving to become a better quilter, and a better artist. I truly enjoy sharing my artwork with the world, and connecting with people through a shared love of art and craft.
